An area of low pressure over the the Florida Panhandle will move our way over the next couple of days. As the low drifts to the west our rain chances will soar. There will be the potential for extremely heavy rains by mid to late week. How heavy the rain becomes will depend on how far west the area of low pressure tracks.
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH goes into effect Wednesday evening through Friday midday. We could see several inches of rain before it is all said and done. Stay tuned.
We may see a transition back to typical scattered summer storms by late in the weekend and next week. In other words, not as stormy!
