(WVUE) - An area of low pressure that has been delivering heavy rain to Florida the past few days and it's now moving our way.
As the low drifts to the west today, our rain chances will rise. There will be the potential for extremely heavy rains late Wednesday into Friday. How heavy the rain becomes will depend on how far west the area of low pressure tracks.
A flood watch goes into effect Wednesday evening through Friday morning.
Some areas could see several inches of rain. Back-to-back storms may mean isolated areas could see up to 10 inches of rain which could create major flooding problems.
A transition back to typical scattered summer storms by late in the weekend and next week is possible.
