NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

NOPD is seeking the public’s help in finding a carjacking suspect.

The incident occurred Tuesday night just after 10:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Euterpe Street.

The victim told police he was approached from behind by two suspects. They opened the driver’s side door and one suspect pulled the victim out of the vehicle while the other placed a blunt object in his back and demanded the victim's car keys.

The two suspects got in the car, which contained the victim’s keys along with his wallet and phone.

They then fled the scene, last seen driving westbound on Baronne Street.

The missing car is a silver 2008 Ford Mustang GT with Louisiana plate number AR13983.

The suspects are described as follows:

The first suspect is described as black male in his late teens or early 20s with a stocky build. He stands about five-feet-ten-inches tall, has a short hairstyle and a teardrop tattoo under his left eye. He was wearing jeans and a white sleeveless undershirt and had a T-shirt hanging off of his shoulder.

The second suspect is described as black male in his late teens or early 20s with a thin build, mid-length dreadlocks and wearing jeans and a dark colored T-shirt.

Anyone with information about this incident or the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle is asked to contact Detective Sasha Skipper or any Sixth District detective at 658-6060.
