NOPD investigates fatal shooting in Milan neighborhood

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday in the Milan neighborhood.

At about 5:21 p.m., Sixth District officers responded to a call of a male subject down in the 2200 block of Peniston Street. Officers found an unresponsive male lying in the street with gunshot wounds to the body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information was avaliable.
