NOPD: Mercedes, Rolex, wallet stolen in 7th Ward car theft

The NOPD is asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle and identifying a suspect in connection with an auto theft in the Seventh Ward.

On Aug. 8 at around 11 p.m., the victim said he locked and secured his white 2007 Mercedes Benz CLK350, LA plate YIB071, in the 1700 block of North Tonti Street before going into his home. The next day around 6 p.m., the victim went outside and saw his car was missing. The victim said his wallet, Social Security card, a Rolex watch and a gold chain were all inside the car. The victim saw broken glass were his car had been parked.

If anyone has any information on a suspect or location of the vehicle, please contact First District detectives at 504-658-6010.
