LSU partially reopens, reschedules some events

BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) - LSU has reopened for partial operations today (Tuesday, Aug. 16).

Non-essential personnel whose reporting units are not included on the "Openings and Closings" page are asked not to report to campus.

A full list of units and services open for business is available here.

Also, several important events are rescheduled:

Orientation: A condensed orientation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 17, to replace the originally scheduled Aug. 15-16 session. Details can be found here.

Move-In: Students planning to live on campus for the semester can move into residence halls on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Students are encouraged to use caution when driving to campus. Check for the most up-to-date road closure information before making plans.

NOTE: Remember that local retail outlets will have depleted stock due to flooding. Consider packing your own provisions (including toiletries, snacks, water, etc.) for your convenience and because selection at stores around campus may be limited.

Greek Recruitment: Activities related to LSU sororities and fraternities have been rescheduled for the week of Aug. 24-30.
