Two men arrested for Bourbon Street carjacking

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Two men were arrested after they tried to steal a car in the French Quarter.

The incident occurred at 11:15 p.m. in the 100 block Bourbon Street.

Arrested were:

  • Brian Coleman, 22
  • Devante Coleman, 20

The victim, a 23-year-old man, was standing by his car talking to the suspects.

When one of the perpetrators got into the driver’s seat of the car, he saw a gun in the driver’s door.

He pulled the gun on the victim and ordered him out of the vehicle.

One of the suspects drove off in the car and the other fled on foot with the gun.

A chase ensued and both perpetrators were apprehended.
