METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) -

When you sign a big-money deal like Coby Fleener did this offseason fans expect a quick return on their investment. The Saints playbook isn't easy to pick up in just a few months time, but Fleener attended Stanford, one of the toughest schools in America, so this should take no time, right?

"Fair question. I think there's a natural tendency to probably say that. I put pressure on myself to learn every position," said Fleener.

Fleener has shown flashes of brilliance this training camp, but admits there's so much more to work on.

"Blocking, catching, running, pass protecting. It's the whole gamut honestly," said Fleener.

On last week's Saints unofficial depth chart Fleener was moved to third string, a mistake later rectified, but it still got a lot of attention.

"No, I actually had no idea until I got a text message from my agent saying don't worry I'm handling this. I had no idea what he was talking about," said a smiling Fleener. "I guess it got fixed, I don't know. That's what I got from it."
