Suspect named in General Taylor Street attempted murder

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police have named a suspect in an attempted murder last Friday General Taylor Street.

The attempted second-degree murder occurred in the 3200 block of General Taylor Street around 8:45 p.m. last Friday night.

The victim told police he was sitting on his front porch when a suspect, described as a black man, walked up to him and began firing.

The victim was shot several times in the chest and two nearby vehicles were damaged by gunfire.

Ashton Davis, 21, was identified as the shooter after an investigation.

Anyone with information about this incident or Davis’ location, is asked to contact Detective Jerry Baldwin or any Second District detective at 658-6020.
