SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) -

Three men are in custody and Slidell police are searching for a fourth in connection with the beating and robbery of a cab driver.

Police arrested Cordarrell Lamar Rudolph, 20, of the 900 block of Old Spanish Trail in Slidell; Clarence Ray Paige Odom, Jr., 21, of the 56000 block of Hudson Street in Slidell; Cordell Martinez, 19, of the 900 block of Old Spanish Trail in Slidell.

Police are still searching for Jervontae Kirsh, 20, of the 1900 block of Destin Street in Mandeville.

All four are wanted for attempted simple burglary.

Police say the four plotted at a restaurant to hail a cab and rob the driver after arriving at their destination.

After hailing a taxi from Parish Cab, and having the taxi drive them to a local hotel, the suspects brutally attacked a 49-year-old taxi driver and attempted to rob him for his money before they fled on foot.

Slidell police respond and helped the victim.

The suspects were quickly located nearby and arrested.

A further investigation, an additional arrest warrant for Martinez for an unrelated residential burglary.
