NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is investigating a homicide in Little Woods.
On Thursday at around 4:37 p.m., a man in his early 20s arrived at an area hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Through the course of the investigation, officers learned that the victim was shot in the 7300 block of Read Boulevard and then taken to the hospital via private conveyance, where he later died from his injuries.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the name of the victim and the official cause of death.
