NOPD investigates Pontchartrain Park carjacking

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are investigating a carjacking near Pontchartrain Park.

According to initial police reports, the incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. in the 6000 block of Press Drive.

The victim, a 27-year-old man, was approached by a suspect, described as a black man dressed all in blue with a bandana over his face.

The subject demanded the victim’s car keys and wallet and made him lie on the ground.

The victim complied and the perpetrator fled in the victim’s 2015 dark grey Dodge Charger with a license #933AAK.
