Accused Uptown restaurant robbers face new charges

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Three men accused of robbing three popular Uptown businesses last year face new charges linking them to a fourth armed robbery.

Our partners at | The Times-Picayune report that a grand jury revised the indictments for Wesley Davis, Jock Van Norman, and Dwayne Stevenson.

The new charges connect the men to an armed robbery at the Purple Rain bar in Central City  in May of 2015. That robbery happened about three months before the group is accused of robbing the Patois restaurant on Laurel Street.

The men also face charges for the robberies at the Atchafalaya restaurant and the Monkey Hill Bar.
Around 30 victims are listed in the indictment, including restaurant owners, employees, and patrons.
