NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans Saints fans spent more than 240 days since blessin' dem boys in the Mercedes Benz Superdome, and Friday night could not come fast enough.
"It's been boring, really boring," David Dennis said. "I've been waiting since day one, since preseason started. I go back and watch old football games."
As who dats made their way to the game they dusted off their Sunday best dawning the black and gold from head to toe.
"[I've been a fan] all my life. I don't know. Glutton for punishment I guess," Steve Osmond said while wearing fleur de lis shoes.
"Being a daddy's girl, you inherit football. You inherit what your dad likes," Brittany Dennis said. "If he says 'go saints', I'm go saints too. I even had his jersey made for him with his nickname on the back."
Even though it was only preseason against the Pittsburgh Steelers, a win less start prior to Friday brought out the arm chair quarterbacks.
"I hope the offense puts out more than they have been. Seems like we have a good defense this year. It's just the offense is struggling," John Nash said.
Despite that struggle, the Who Dat Nation's knows in 16 days the score really matters and optimism remains high.
