Police: Man choked victim while she drove car

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans Police need help locating a suspect wanted for aggravated assault with a firearm and domestic violence.

Investigators say Daniel Brumfield, 21, and the victim got into an argument while traveling along Dwyer Road in New Orleans East just after 2 p.m. last Monday. The argument escalated when Brumfield allegedly began choking the victim as she was driving. Police say he then pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim. She  stopped the car and then took off running.

According to a news release, Brumfield drove off in the car, which police later found at the victim's home.
