2 men shot on Elysian Fields Ave. Friday night

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a Friday night shooting that left two males injured.

According to police, at 10:30 p.m. they responded to a call of two males shot in the 1700 block of Elysian Fields Avenue.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a 35-year-old male and a 44-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victims told police that an unknown male suspect exited a gray SUV and opened fire on them.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital. Their injuries and their conditions are currently unknown.

The shooting remains under investigation.
