JPSO searching for suspect in connection with Aug. 30 murder

JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a man on August 30.

Deputies received a call about a man who had been shot in the 400 block of North Laurel Street in Metairie. When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered the body of 35-year-old Jeremiah Majlio. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to JPSO, witnesses identified 23-year-old Antoine Wallace as the shooter.

Sheriff Newell Normand says that his deputies have made several attempts to locate Wallace but have been unsuccessful.

When arrested, Wallace will be charged with second degree murder.
