NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Saturday, we saw a couple of rounds of heavy thunderstorms with lots of lightning. The rain lasted only an hour or so but some areas on the South Shore and West Bank saw 1-2 inches. The North Shore had little to no rain at all.
As we round out the holiday weekend, we will see more spotty afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Coverage will be like Saturday in the 30-40% range.
Starting Tuesday, an upper high will build in allowing things to dry out as rain chances Wednesday through Friday will be little to none. Highs remain hot in the lower 90's and lows in the upper 70's.
