ASSUMPTION PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a man accused of indecent behavior with a juvenile on September 4.

A uniformed patrol deputy reported seeing a vehicle parked in a cane field off LA 1008 near Napoleonville late Sunday night. A trooper arrived on the scene and the officers proceeded to investigate. They say Dmarcus Alfred Capers, 22, exited the back passenger side door and officers notice his clothing was disheveled. As the trooper approached the vehicle, he found a 16-year-old female. Police say Capers gave inconsistent statements about what he was doing with the teen.

Capers was arrested and taken to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was booked on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile. He was incarcerated pending his bail hearing. The 16-year-old was released to her parents.
