Man pulls over to check car, gets carjacked

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans Police want to find two suspects wanted for an armed robbery and carjacking in the St. Roch area.

It happened September 2, 2016, in the 2500 block of A.P. Tureaud Avenue when a man and his girlfriend stopped to check out the tire on his car.

According to police, the victim said while he was checking the tire a black man came up to him and put a gun in his back.  He told police that a second man also walked up to the front passenger seat with a gun. Police said the gunman then robbed the couple of their money, jewelry and wallets and told them to get out of the car.

Police recovered the car three days later, in the 3900 block of 4th Street.

One of the suspects is described as a black male about 5'10" with a slim build and a low fade hairstyle. He was seen wearing a white shirt, black pants and was armed with a silver and black semi-automatic handgun. 
 
The other suspect is described as a black male about 5'8" with a slim build and dark complexion. He was seen wearing a camouflage hooded jacket, dark pants and was armed with a black semi-automatic weapon.
