Workout Wednesday: ARX Workout

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Personal Trainer Jonathan Warren of the Pilates and Yoga Loft demonstrates three key exercises on the ARX. ARX equipment matches your force output instantly using a computer-driven, motorized drive belt system. The new technology allows you to work as hard as you choose without the fear of dropping weights or getting injured. Below are three exercises done in this segment of Workout Wednesday. 

  • Leg Press: Each exercise is based on your personal strength and is done to failure. 

Main Muscles Worked: Gluteals, Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Calves

  • Chest Press:  Each exercise is based on your personal strength and is done to failure. 

Main Muscle Worked: Chest

Secondary Muscles: Shoulders, Triceps

  • Horizontal Row: Each exercise is based on your personal strength and is done to failure. 

Main Muscles worked: trapezius muscles, latissimus dorsi, the erector spinae, rear deltoids

Secondary muscles: biceps, biceps brachialis, and forearm flexors.
