NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Homeowners upset about a plan to build dozens of new homes in Mandeville say they will appeal a parish zoning commission's approval that moves the plan forward.
According to our partners at Nola.com|The Times-Picayune, the Saint Tammany Parish Zoning Commission approved plans Sept. 6 to rezone a 104 acre tract owned by the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
The archdiocese is under contract to sell the tract along Sharp Road to a developer. The developer wants to create a new subdivision.
Neighbors opposed to the plan say a new subdivision will create drainage and traffic problems in the area.
