(WVUE) - The area is enjoying a comfortable start to the morning with temperatures dipping a bit lower and less humidity around.
Thanks to the drier air, the area will also see plenty of sunshine and near zero chance for rain today. Highs will be in the upper 80s and low 90s.
Moisture begins to increase late Friday, and there will be a chance for a few showers and storms over the weekend.
There doesn't appear to be any major change in the weather pattern next week. However, deep tropical moisture may sneak into the area by the middle of next week bringing a slightly better chance for storms.
A wave moving off the coast of Africa has a 60 percent chance for development in the next five days.
The wave is in the far Eastern Atlantic and not a threat to us at this time. Elsewhere development is not expected.
