NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The NOPD needs the public's help in locating and identifying two individuals responsible for robbery in the 4200 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

On September 7, 2016, at around 7:30 a.m., an unknown male and female were seen on surveillance video entering the Walgreens in that area. The male subject is seen walking to the register and asking the clerk for a carton of cigarettes.  After receiving the cigarettes, the male subject then asked for about 16 more cartons of cigarettes. When the employee relocated to the storage room to retrieve the cigarettes, the male forced his way into the storage room. When the employee started yelling, the subject pushed the employee into the lockers, took the cigarettes and gave them to the female subject. The couple was then seen driving off in a gray Monte Carlo with a temporary tag.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident or the subjects, please contact any Third District detectives at (504) 658- 6030.
