NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police search for two armed men who they say impersonated police officers, pulled over a driver, then carjacked him.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Press Dr. and Prentiss Ave. in Gentilly. Police say a driver told them two armed men pulled him over in a 2014 or 2015 black Dodge Charger with blue flashing lights on the dashboard and front grill.

The victim told officers the men got his wallet and cell phone, then took his silver four-door 2010 Acura TL. It has a Louisiana license plate with the number ZFX767.

Police say the victim described one of the men as six foot tall with a stocky build, wearing brown “Duck Dynasty” camouflage fatigues, black combat boots, and a black paintball helmet with chrome around the eye shield. They say the victim described the second man as six foot tall with a thin build, wearing all black fatigues, black combat boots, and a black paintball helmet with chrome around the eye shield.

If you have any information that can help investigators, you're urged to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
