NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A man was arrested after breaking into a Central City house and knocking over an infant sleeping in a crib.

According to initial police reports, the incident occurred just after midnight in the 2300 block of Toledano Street.

NOPD arrested Randy Harris, 33, and accused him of breaking into the home through a rear window.

As Harris entered the window, he knocked over a crib with a sleeping 10-month-old child inside.

A 36-year-old woman grabbed the child and ran to a neighbor’s house.

Harris chased her and was caught as he was trying to kick in the neighbor’s door.
