New Orleans police have named a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for the man they say was involved in an August shooting.

Police are looking for Darrien Johnson, 24, in connection with an August 23rd shooting.

Just before 11 p.m. that night, the victim was knocking on the rear door of a house located in the 2400 block of North Claiborne Avenue.

Police say Johnson was inside the home and began shooting toward the door when he heard a knock on the door.

Police believe another suspect was outside the residence and firing shots toward the victim as well.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach during the incident.

Police are still working to identify the second shooter.

Johnson should be considered armed and dangerous.
