Deputies: Dangerous inmate escaped from custody

ASSUMPTION PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

A possibly dangerous inmate escaped from the custody of an Assumption Parish deputy.

Drake Domangue, 44, was being transferred to St. Mary Parish for mental health treatment when he escaped Wednesday morning.

Domangue was in custody on charges of Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Resisting Arrest by Force or Violence, narcotics-related offenses, and numerous traffic violations. He’s also wanted in Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes for felony charges along with parole violations.

Deputies say Domangue should be considered dangerous and a flight risk.

His last known address is on Santiago Street in Houma.
