Wheelchair-bound man robbed at gunpoint on Magazine Street

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A wheelchair-bound man was robbed at gunpoint on Magazine Street, according to initial police reports.

The robbery occurred just before 8 p.m. in the 4800 block of Magazine Street between Bordeaux and Valence streets.

The victim, a 61-year-old man, was in his wheelchair when he was approached by two suspects, described as a black male and a white male. 

One suspect pointed a gun at the back of the victim’s head and demanded his property.  The other suspect searched the victim’s pockets and took his cellphone, wallet, and cash.
