NOPD searching for suspect in CBD auto burglary

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police are asking for the public's help finding a man they believe broke into a car in the Central Business District.

The incident occurred on September 13 (Tuesday) in the 400 block of O'Keefe Avenue.

Around 3:30 p.m., a white male suspect was captured on surveillance video taking a purse out of a vehicle parked in a parking garage. He then fled the area.

The man is described as standing five-feet-seven-inches tall and wearing a blue Los Angeles Dodgers jersey, khaki pants and black and white tennis shoes.

He is also seen with a black skateboard.
