Danny Etling solid in his first start for LSU

BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) -

The Danny Etling-era is off to a strong start in Baton Rouge against Mississippi State. He goes 19 of 30 passing, 215 yards, including one perfect touchdown pass to D.J. Chark. 

"I had to find the ball first, when I found it, my whole thing was just get under it. I stayed in stride, got under it, and caught it. I just tried to keep my eyes on it," said wide receiver D.J. Chark.

"Every touchdown is a big touchdown. Whether we run it in, pass it in. No matter how we get a touchdown I'm always happy," said quarterback Danny Etling.

"Extended plays, ad-libbed the things he was supposed to do, pretty accurate, I think he missed on maybe two throws. Made plays with his feet. I liked him," said LSU head coach Les Miles

Brandon Harris didn't get one snap in the contest against Mississippi State. After the game Miles said Etling will start at Auburn.
