Suspect arrested for allegedly killing man with pool stick at bar

HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - A man accused of striking another man in the head with a pool stick, causing his death, turned himself in to Houma police.

Colon Walter Rosario, 24, is charged with second-degree murder. He was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on Monday.

Shortly after 12 a.m., Houma Police responded to the 900 block of Grinage St. reporting an incident at a bar. When police arrived at the Las Amigas Bar, they found a man suffering from trauma to his head.

Police learned the victim, identified as Antonio Aguado, 23, of Patterson Street, was involved in a fight with another man identified Rosario, of Henderson Street.

Witnesses told police that Rosario grabbed a pool cue and hit Aguado in the head, knocking him unconscious.

Houma police said the investigation is ongoing.
