NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A judge in the Will smith murder case is expected to take up an evidence request Wednesday.
The attorney for the man accused of killing the former Saints player Filed a motion to transfer evidence Tuesday.
Investigators say Cardell Hayes shot and killed Smith in the Lower Garden District back in April following a confrontation that included a vehicle crash.
Hayes' attorney claims the gunfire was self-defense. The trial is set for Dec. 1.
