NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Owner of X-Trainers in Mid City Leilani Heno demonstrates three exercises with a plate weight in this segment of Workout Wednesday. Follow along with the steps below.
- Squat Drivers - Place both hands on weight and hold straight out and perform a squat followed by a twist as if you are turning a wheel. Perform three sets of 15 reps each. This exercise works legs, shoulders and isometric on your chest.
- Bent over plate rows - Bend over at an angle keeping back straight while pulling weights up in a rowing position. Perform three sets of 12- 15 reps. This exercise works your upper and lower back, biceps and rear shoulders.
- Single Leg Tricep Drops - Stand on one leg with weight over head and push up. Perform this exercise for two sets of 12 on each leg. This exercise works your core, legs, balance, all lower stability muscles and triceps.
