Man accused of knocking mom to the ground, kicking her in the face

HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - A fight between a mother and son turned ugly after police say the son knocked his mom to the ground, then kicked her in the face.  The Houma Police Department received a call for help on September 16, 2016 in the 500 block of Eliza Street in reference to a domestic disturbance.

When officers arrived they say they leaned that 27-year-old Yosha Dickerson got into a argument that soon turned physical.  Police say Dickerson hit his 63-year-old mother, which made her fall to the floor.  Police say he then allegedly kicked her in the face, and another family member was able to come to the mother's rescue and stop Dickerson from further harming her.  Police then say Dickerson tried to attack that family member,  but was unsuccessful.

Dickerson was arrested for one count of Domestic Abuse Battery and one count of Simple Assault.
