NOPD searching for assault suspect

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect in an assault.

NOPD is looking for Chelsea Clifton, 33. She is wanted for an aggravated battery that took place in the 10500 block of Curran Boulevard on September 19.

Around 4 a.m. on that date, the victim told police that she and Clifton got into a fight. Clifton is accused of striking the victim and cutting her with a knife.

Clifton is described as a black woman, about five-feet-five-inches tall and weighing 130 pounds.

Anyone with information about this incident or the whereabouts of Chelsea Clifton is asked to contact any Seventh District detective at 504-658-6070.
