Falcons spoil Saints 'Domecoming' 10-year anniversary with 45-32 victory

Garland and Sean break down the Saints

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The Falcons looked inspired to reverse the outcome of the "Domecoming" 10 years ago by beating the Saints in a shootout 45-32.

This is the second year in a row the Saints start the season 0-3. Last year the Black and Gold finished 7-9. The Saints haven't made the playoffs since the 2013 season.

Matt Ryan torched the Saints defense by air, going 20-30 passing, 240 yards, two touchdown passes.

Devonta Freeman rushed for 152 yards, and Tevin Coleman scored three touchdowns on the ground.

Drew Brees went 36-54 passing, 376 yards, and three touchdowns. Coby Fleener led the Saints in receiving with 109 yards.

It wasn't all about the offense. Former Jesuit and LSU star Deion Jones registered a 90-yard pick-six off Brees to make the score 45-25. It was the first time the New Orleans native played in the Superdome.
