NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

In an effort to create a community partnership, the New Orleans Police Department is hosting its third Coffee with Cops.

Residents and visitors are invited to participate. Four McDonald's locations around town will offer a free cup of coffee on Saturday, October 1 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. during a meet and greet session with neighborhood patrol officers.

The NOPD says the popular community policing event is possible because of a public-private partnership.

The four locations are:
•    3443 South Carrollton Avenue (Second District)
•    3250 General DeGaulle Drive (Fourth District)
•    2856 South Claiborne Avenue (Sixth District)
•    711 Canal Street (Eighth District)
