NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A recently opened drugstore in Mid-City has been robbed twice in the past two days, according to the NOPD.
On Tuesday at 12:38 p.m., an unknown subject entered the CVS in the 500 block of N. Carrollton Avenue, produced a weapon and demanded money from two registers. He then fled with money.
On Wednesday, an unidentified male entered the store at about 12:30 p.m. After browsing through the aisles, police said he approached the cashier and placed a can of bug spray and a portable hearing aid on the counter. He then bent down and stood up, producing a handgun that was concealed in his waistband. He demanded that the cashier place money in the same bag as the items, police said. The cashier complied and the suspect then fled the scene, heading east on N. Carrollton.
The subject in the Wednesday robbery is described as a black male wearing a tan-colored straw hat, a navy blue Dickies shirt with white paint on the back and light-colored jeans.
