A 'Comfortably Numb' surprise thrills audiences

(WVUE) - What do you get when you mix an Oscar nominated actor and a Pink Floyd legend? You get a unique live version of the classic Floyd hit "Comfortably Numb!"

David Gilmour invited Benedict Cumberbatch to help him perform the song Wednesday Night at his Royal Albert Hall concert in London. Cumberbatch began singing the song as he walked on stage. When the lights finally exposed the actor was actually behind the mic, the surprised crowd gave him a nice ovation.

Cumberbatch performed the verses originally sung by Roger Waters, while Gilmour took over the choruses and of course the famous roaring guitar solos.
