Suspects arrested in Jefferson Parish business burglary spree

JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office deputies arrested three men accused in a string of robberies in the parish.

The sheriff's office says their investigation involves two gas stations, a fast food restaurant and a convenience store between Sunday morning and Wednesday afternoon. The same Exxon station in Marrero was targeted twice.

#2-9/26/16 @ 4:11am-Exxon Service Station, 5000 Westbank Expressway, Marrero 
#3-9/25/16 @ 6:32am-Burger King, 3950 Westbank Expressway 
#4-9/25/16 @ 11:45am-Greg's Food Mart, 4704 4th. Street, Harvey 
#5-9/28/16 @ 3:53 pm, Chevron Service Station, 4950 Veterans Blvd, Metairie

Randy Lejaunie of Terrytown, Nicholas Plaisance of Waggaman and Joseph Adams of Marrero all face a range of charges.

Detectives say Lejaunie admitted to the crimes and that the other suspects helped with some of them. Investigators say Lejaunie and Plaisance said they used money from the robberies to buy heroin.

Lejaunie is booked with five counts of simple robbery and one count of simple burglary. Plaisance is booked with one count of simple robbery and one count of simple burglary. Adams was booked with one count of simple robbery.
