GRETNA, LA (WVUE) -

The FBI New Orleans Division’s Violent Crime Task Force and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a New Orleans area man for allegedly robbing two banks.

Eric Mallory, 33, is accused of the robberies within the last several months.

Around 10 a.m. on July 27, the Capital One Bank in the 1800 block of Barataria Blvd. in Marrero was robbed. The FBI believes Mallory entered the bank, approached the counter and demanded money from the teller.

He escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

On Sept. 22 at 9:15 a.m., agents allege Mallory robbed the Gulf Coast & Trust.

The FBI arrested Mallory in Gretna on Thursday.
