METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) -

Cleaning and restoration crews working on a condo complex in Old Metairie are going pink for breast cancer awareness.  Dozens of workers with Clean Pro Cleaning and Restoration donned pink construction hats and clothing to show their support for breast cancer victims and survivors. The workers are making repairs to a condo development that caught fire recently at 800 Rue Rampart near Metairie Road.  Organizers say 75-100 people took part in Monday's event.

It has been estimated that 1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and an estimated 2,600 men will get the disease each year, as well. There are an estimated 2.8 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S.
