METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) -

Arrest warrants have been issued for a Metairie man on 12 counts of simple burglary of a business, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect, 28-year-old Kenneth Patterson of Houma Boulevard, remains at large.

During the early morning hours of Sept. 21, officers were dispatched to multiple business burglaries at an office building in the 3900 block of N. I-10 Service Road. The resource manager for one of the businesses said the building had been secured around 6 p.m. the previous evening. During the investigation, a detective discovered that there had been 11 other burglaries and attempted burglaries within the complex, where the suspect broke in to some of the suites by forcing the cover off of the mail slots and unlocking the door. Laptop computers, a video projector, a cell phone and cash were among the items stolen.

Recovered fingerprints led to the identification of Patterson as the suspect. A search of Patterson’s home resulted in the recovery of several items believed to have been taken from some of the businesses, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kenneth Patterson is asked to contact Detective Darren Parent at (504) 364-5300 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
