Police release video in Houma casino robbery case

HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - Houma police have released surveillance video of the masked subjects who robbed a casino Monday. They said a truck used in the robbery was recovered Monday afternoon.

According to investigators, three people wearing masks, dark-colored clothing and carrying assault-style rifles entered High Rollers Casino on Main Street just before 3 a.m. while a fourth person waited in a truck.

The robbers "encountered customers, employees and the security guard" and escaped with an undetermined amount of money, according to a police news release.

The getaway vehicle was found in the 400 block of Roselawn Street. It was described as a 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck with no license plate or paperwork identifying an owner.

Houma Police is continuing this investigation, reviewing surveillance footage within the adjacent area and encouraging anyone with information to contact law enforcement.
