(WVUE) - Buddy Hield poured in a team high 18 points. But, it wasn't enough to overcome a cold shooting night by Anthony Davis in the Pelicans 113-96 loss to Indiana.
In his 18 minutes on the court, Davis made just three of 13 field goals, finishing with just 12 points. But, it's on the offensive boards where the Pacers won the game. Hauling down 13 more offensive rebounds than the Pels. It also didn't hurt that the Pacers had seven guys score in double-figures compared to just three for New Orleans.
The loss drops the Pelicans per-season record to 1-1. Now they head to the far east to China for a pair of games against the Houston Rockets, beginning on Sunday.
