Tulane University and the University of Central Florida have postponed a football game scheduled for this Friday because of Hurricane Matthew.

The game will be instead by played on Saturday, November 5.

"Taking into account all the latest projections for Hurricane Matthew, we have to keep the safety of everyone involved in these events at the forefront of our decision-making," UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. Daniel J. White said in a prepared statement. "We appreciate our friends at Tulane and Houston understanding and working with us through this situation. Mike Aresco and the American Athletic Conference staff has been very helpful, as well."

Both UCF and Tulane had Nov. 5 as an open date on their schedule, making logistics of moving the football game a bit simpler.
