Superstar lovers Tim McGraw and Faith Hill announce tour date in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - They are lovers in life and music and together make up one of country music's most powerful music duos. A decade after making country music history, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw will once again tour together and it all starts right here in New Orleans.
10 years after a record-breaking tour together affectionately called "Soul2Soul" the country superstars are doing it again with the "Soul2Soul II" tour. McGraw and Hill will begin the 65 date tour at the Smoothie King Center April 7, 2017. The music power couple made the announcement during a surprise performance last night at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

Ticket pre-sales start this Friday, Oct. 7 and you can get general public tickets starting Friday, Oct.14.

"We have the best fans in the world, who have been with us through our entire journey and we are so excited to celebrate with them by going back on the road and showcasing an exciting new show," said Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. "It's always great when we get to work together and it's been a while since we got to do that."

This will be the third major tour for the Louisiana native McGraw and Mississippi native Hill, who have sold tens of millions of albums around the world as solo artists. But they've recorded a number of hits together making any tour together even more special for fans.

McGraw has proven to be a triple threat charting a reported 41 #1 singles, including the number one hit "Humble and Kind" which spawned a book by McGraw of the same name. McGraw has also racked up a number of huge movie hits like "Friday Night Lights" and "Blind Side."

Hill is a multi-Grammy, Billboard, American Music and Country Music Association Awards winner. She's performed on almost every major award show, including the Oscars twice, and in 2000 performed the National Anthem at Super Bowl XXXIV in Atlanta.
