NOPD investigating three armed robberies

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are investigating three armed robberies, according to initial reports.

The first incident occurred just after 8 p.m. in the 2900 block of Lakeshore Drive.

The victim, a 32-year-old man, was approached by a suspect, described as a black male.

The suspect pulled a gun and demanded the victim’s property.

The victim complied and the subject fled the scene.

The next robbery occurred just after 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Reynes and North Galvez streets.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, was approached by two suspects who pulled up in a red vehicle and demanded his belongings.

The suspects shot the victim from the vehicle and he started to run. Both subjects got out of the vehicle shooting, striking the victim again.

The next incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. in the 2400 block of Jena.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, was approached by a suspect, described as an armed black man, who demanded his property.

The victim complied and the perpetrator fled.
