NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - We enjoyed a beautiful Saturday full of festivals across the area. Temperatures rose to the upper 80's and low 90's in most spots, but it still felt comfortable with a nice northerly breeze. The breeze will pick up tonight helping temperatures to drop to the upper 50's on the North Shore and upper 60's and low 70's on the south shore.
More average highs for this time of year are expected Sunday in the low to mid 80's. A gradual warm up will occur next week, but mornings will still be pleasant.
Hurricane Matthew continues to pour torrential rain over North Carolina. Matthew is expected to move out to sea and weaken completely by Monday. No "loop" is expected.
